For the last 4 weeks we’ve been heading down to the tonui collab to learn how to code games. Using the website Makecode Arcade we got to make our own games, Mac, the coding teacher, taught us how to do everything to do with coding, things such as Getting the right code blocks for our game to work. I really enjoyed making and playing other peoples games and if you ever get the chance to go there I really suggest you do cause every bit is worth it. Sorry this isn’t finished yet so when you touch the ground you don’t actually die. I will try to code it to work another day.

Fun tipu game!!

Lately, Hub Mako have been creating interactive games to teach others about the maori language. To code our games, we remixed a pre existing game to create our own. Scratch is a coding platform that allows you to be innovative and make your very own games. Milky the milk bottle, who is the main character, will take you on an adventure through a variety of different maori words. Tipu is an online learning platform. Tipu is a source of our te reo maori language where we practise how to say different maori words and phrases. I hope you enjoy playing my game and will learn something new.
